I always eagerly looked forward to my meetings with Lynn. They always started with the anticipation of learning some new discovery in the scientific world. I knew Lynn from participating in a monthly breakfast meeting of friends. Lynn was energetic, enthusiastic and articulate. Our discussions of ideas often continued an hour or more after the official breakfast had ended. He explained his topics clearly, especially in the field of physics. There seemed to be nothing that he couldn't be interested in. I am grateful for my widened horizons, thanks to Lynn. Lynn had a boyish enthusiasm for learning from everyone and for understanding the un-understandable. I hope some of it rubbed off on me. I'll miss Lynn! Palo Alto, CA
