I also have been thinking of you and your family and Lynn. He has, especially over the last few years, shown Carrie kind attention and I know she felt his grandfatherly love and for that we are grateful. I'll never forget the time in San Mateo that Lynn was at our house and he had Carrie give him a hair cut. I couldn't believe he'd do that but it was an interesting activity through which he was quite relaxed and appreciative about how it turned out. (Which was choppy at best). I loved his inquisitive thought, his delight in Carrie's views and his open mind. He certainly was always kind and loving to us and we will all miss his joyful, easy laughter and his general awe and wonder of the world which he explored to a greater degree than most people ever do.
